Senator Rand Paul Accuses Dr. Anthony Fauci of Not Following the Science
There was an interesting altercation at the March 18th Senate hearings. Senator Rand Paul called out Dr. Anthony Fauci (White House Chief Medical Adviser) for continuing to wear a mask after being vaccinated for Covid-19. Senator Paul pointed out that doing this denies the science and he accused Dr. Fauci of wearing two masks for show. Sen. Paul told Dr. Fauci that “You can’t get it again. There’s almost zero percent chance you’re going to get it.” He then said “— you’re defying everything we know about immunity by telling people to wear masks (who have been vaccinated).” Senator Paul then added “You want to get rid of vaccine hesitancy? Tell people to quit wearing their masks after they get the vaccine.” In response, Fauci quipped “Here we go again with the theater.”
Watch this clip from Laura Ingraham’s segment “The Left’s Covid Control Scheme”. Ingraham says this about Fauci: “He started contradicting his own pronouncements, most notably on masks and herd immunity. While he confines himself usually to friendly venues where he dispenses guidance not driven by science but by a desire to terrorize and confuse America.” The data that Ingraham presented that supports the senator’s position can be found in the New York Times article “Coronavirus Reinfections Are Real but Very, Very Rare“. Keep in mind that Senator Rand Paul is a licensed opthamologist and eye surgeon. (Dr. Paul was recognized for “Outstanding Service and Commitment to Seniors” by The Twilight Wish Foundation in 2002.)
