Biden’s $1.9T Covid-19 Stimulus Bill Punishes Red States & Rewards Blue States

Blue States vs Red States, Politics

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis joins “Justice with Judge Jeanine” to talk about how well the state of Florida fared during the Covid-19 pandemic. Florida banned hospitals from sending Covid-19 patients to nursing homes and they prioritized giving the Covid-19 vaccines to the elderly. The children in Florida are back to school. The unemployment rate in Florida is 4.9% and their per capita Covid-19 mortality rate is lower than the national average and far less than lockdown states like New York, New Jersey and Illinois.

During her interview, Judge Jeanine Pirro made this observation: “I can’t help but think about the 1.9 trillion dollar stimulus package that was just passed this week, where blue states that are not fiscally conservative are being rewarded and states like FL are almost being punished because all of your fiscal responsibility is met with ‘OK now you are going to pay for the states that can’t run themselves.’ Correct?”

Ron DeSantis agreed and proceeded to explain how Biden’s $1.9T stimulus package (aka the “American Rescue Plan“) punishes red states and rewards fiscally irresponsible blue states. DeSantis stated that Florida is being penalized about 2 billion dollars because they have a low unemployment rate. Meanwhile, some lockdown states will be getting a windfall of an extra 1 billion, 2 billion or 3 billion dollars. DeSantis says “It’s effectively the transfer of money from states like FL and GA to states like NY, IL and CA. It stinks to high heaven.”
